Leave me a comment below and let me know what specific changes you see in the photo pair.
The photo I posted above is a cropped version of the image that came out of my camera. Have a look at the next photo to see the full uncropped image.
Here’s the full image I made with the black box showing the cropped area for the repeat photo pair. Photo: © 2012 Ron Karpilo.
For all the photography nerds, here’s some information about the camera gear and settings of my repeat of the 1963 photo. I used a Nikon D7000 DSLR camera with a Nikkor 17-55mm f/2.8G zoom lens set at 26mm on a Gitzo GT2541L tripod with a Really Right Stuff BH-40 ballhead. My camera was set to an aperture of f/11, shutter speed of 1/80 of a second, and ISO of 100.
This project was made possible by support from: Denali National Park and Preserve, Denali Education Center, and Alaska Geographic / Murie Science and Learning Center.
Check back often, as I have dozens of other repeat photo pairs from my project that I’ll be posting in the future.
Thanks,
Ron Karpilo
